Buckles on bottom corners of 44 mag/Ma Duece bags

Folks there are buckles/attachments on the bottom corners of these bags.....what connects to these ? I have had the bag off the frame adjusting shoulder strap length and unsure if these connect to the belt or not....there is some webbing on the belt, not sure of that connects to it, doesn't seem that it does as there is another attachment on the belt that seems more natural for them to go to/.

Morning pc3. Those buckles are for the webbing coming off of your belt between the webbing tracks. That's so you can pull the bottom of your pack closer in to stabilize the load.
