I am bumping the shoulder on some once fired 7mm rem mag brass. Using a Redding series S bushing die and am getting a very mixed bag of results. Some bump back to where I want and the next not enough and once in a while some to much. And you can see the brass was annealed while new. Anneal again after one firing??

Make sure lube is applied the same on each case. That can make a big difference.

While counterintuitive, you might need to size just a little bit more. When I'm setting my dies I'll size, measure, increase the bump, measure again, etc. You will get to a spot where the case shoulder grows in length after sizing. Just past that point is where it's most consistent.

I anneal every firing but it's not going to make a difference in what you're seeing unless you've got quite a bit of firings on a case.

I've never had an issue before, but never used this brass either, very good brass but I've heard its thick than others and it is. I try to be very consistent with use of lube on cases.
