I recently PM'd AK Troutbum about his experience with the cuben fiber shelters...and he was very gracious in his response.
I was reading a commentary on condensation and it appears in the test the aluminized or mylar type tent fabrics had less condensation issues- AK Trout confirmed that.
I have the same questions Kevin asked about abrasion resistance and noise on the Sil v Sil thread...but also;
Have you ever sewn this stuff? [I think RSBTR has a commentary on it]
Has anyone ever matched silicone to the cuben...bonded both together?
I'm toying with making a cuben ground cloth....and possibly a hybrid structure to take advantage of cuben properties. I'm not sure if its worth the hassle/$$.
