Does anyone have a nitride BH209 CVA breech plug that can tell me what drill bit size to use to clean the channel? The website says 1/8”, but I have multiple bits that size that won’t fit into the channel.

It’s never been shot, so I know it’s not an issue off too much build up.

My next smallest bit is way too small to do any actual cleaning.

Aren't you supposed to use the wire cleaners like welders use to clean torch tips? Pretty sure that's what I have.

The primer side you can get a bit in. The side you’re referring to can take one of those cleaners, but I’ve personally never cleaned one in 20 years of using a muzzleloader.

Update for anyone reading this down the road. While the website said my breach needed a 1/8” bit (0.1250”), it actually needed a #31 bit (0.1200”).

The 1/8” wouldn’t fit at all, while the #31 is very tight but works perfectly.
