What zipper do you recommend (size, type of teeth, brand)?

I have a #7 Ykk separating zipper but after 100 or so times opening and close the tent a few tent got bent. Need to find a more durable zipper and replace the entire zipper as it won’t close as those spots.

Any other ideas/remedies are welcome.

YKK Coil Zippers are the standard, either #5 or #8 for shelters depending on use and weight goals. For my smaller ultra-light shelters I sew on #5, for the more burly stuff I use #8. Rockywoods.com has a bit larger selection of zippers than ripstopbytheroll. The Uretek or "water resistant" zippers are great but fairly spendy and really only needed in special situations.
