Came across this and found it interesting. I don't think that it would alleviate the "pucker factor" I've experienced a few times.
The article is short on specs, but it seems as though the "lightning resistant" poles and tent bottom do not add a great deal of weight. The one tent, "the largest", was listed at 2.65 lbs.
I wonder if any tent manufacturers will incorporate this into their tents and if that'll actually help someone or if some will be more cavalier about tent placement from a sense of false security?
