I assembled my first hunting rifle a 300 PRC-
Defiance 300 PRC Anti action
26" proof carbon fiber pre-fit
Talley scope mounts
Ti Pro 5 break
Hawkins hunter bottom metal
Allterra carbon hunter 2 stock
Triggertech Diamond trigger
Leica Amplus 6. 3-18x44
Bedrock bedding
Weight: 7 lbs 1.6 oz

I have a few questions
1- What powders do you find work well pushing a 200-220 grain bullet?

2- How far off the lands in general are you finding the best accuracy?

3. What type accuracy should I expect out of this set up?

Thanks for you advice and opinions...I am just looking to get a rough idea of things to start my load work.

Can’t speak to group size because every rifle is different but your components are all great, so it should do well.

I found H1000 and N570 to work well. N570 with 230gr Berger hybrid is giving me 2917fps out of a 24” barrel with great accuracy and low deviation.

H1000 was notably slower but still provided good accuracy. My 215 Berger accuracy load was moving around 2880.

I’ve only used ADG for all my 300prc loading.

My jump on my 215 and 230 loads have been from .007 to .025. The Hornady 225 I had jumping .020 for just a quick pressure test with 75gr h1000. Accuracy was great but did not explore further.

1. N570 and good brass such as ADG and Lapua.

2. Somewhere between 0 and .060 off for Berger Hybrids and ELDM's

3. I would expect at least 1 MOA accuracy out to 1000 yards, or I would be tweaking something personally.
