What type of piece is the ridge line?

Lightweight almost like a wind pullover

would the ridgeline be a more breathable & quieter brush protection layer than a corrugate? Or is it more slick like a patagonia hoodini and not a great choice for protecting wool base layer in brush? Corrugate doesnt breath enough for me if I am working at all / climbing..
