If those inner thigh zippers just go into the pockets that seems kind of pointless. Id be curious to see these compared to the SG 206 pant. I really like the stone glacier pants and feel like these are just kind of a rush to copy and compete with them.
I agree somewhat with the inner thigh vents making pockets useless but these also have the sidezips and the pinhole fabric makes a difference imo so these would be an upgrade.

More like a slow crawl to compete with the Kuiu Tiburon.

@Jordan Budd how would you compare them to the corrugate pants in terms of how they're cut? Word from FL is that they are more athletic cut than the corrugate but not as slim as the discontinued guide lites.
They’re a slimmer cut for sure. And they are numerical sized instead of S, M, L like the regular corrugates. So that helps, especially through the seat I feel like they’re slimmer fitting. I’d say through the seat they are about the same as the guide lites, but the lower leg is more athletic cut on the trace over the lites.. which I like.

Mine arrived today. At first glance, they appear to be Tiburon clones.
The fit is very similar. I’m a 32 waist and both fit tight around the thighs. I was hoping that the Trace would fit more loosely as that is the case with the Foundry’s.
Upside with the Trace’s is that the front zips act to alleviate the tightness through the thighs.
The side zips are much shorter on the Trace versus the Tiburon.
The Trace does seem to have a softer feel but not drastic.
The photos really show that the Trace should allow for more breathability, but I’m not sure if they’ll offer full sun protection.

yea i got a pair. trace is about 3 ounces heavier in a waist size shorter (this is with it's little belt so maybe thats worth an ounce) and hip zips 2 inches shorter. fit feels a touch more generous than the tiburons through the crotch but pretty similar overall. 100% polyester not sure if that was mentioned

Been wearing the FL Trace pants for a couple of weeks. The material doesn't breath well and is hot compared to the Kuiu Tiburon pants.

I ordered some 32x32 Trace pants and the information on the fit that @Jordan Budd gave above is pretty accurate. I'm 5'-6", 170lbs, pretty stocky build with bigger calves, thighs and glutes. Compared to Corrugate Guide pants in the same size, the Trace are much tighter in the seat and across the upper thigh/crotch area. The fit around the thighs isn't too constricting but slimmer than the corrugates for sure. They taper a lot down to the ankle, had to use the stretch in the fabric to get them over the boot uppers. I would probably blow the crotch out of them by squatting down.

Ordered a 34x32 to compare the fit to the Tiburons which fit me quite well in a 34x32. Initial impressions: The Tiburons are a lot lighter weight and the fabric seems more durable, but with less stretch. I like the stretch in the Trace pants but the fabric is definitely heavier.

i've taken mine out the last couple weeks here in hawaii. they are a couple ounces heavier but imo they vent just as well as the tiburons with all 4 vents open despite the side vents being slightly smaller. The inner thigh vents also allow the thigh fit to loosen up and let a lot more air through too which i like. It;s too bad they didn;t add a zip pocket to the side pocket bc side pockets aren't functional in ventmode which is my only gripe. They are a nice option though for hot weather if you are a FL fan, I don;t think they beat the tiburons but I'd put them on a similar tier. definitely more breathable option than the sitka ascents (put hip zips!) i haven't tried the SG hot weather pant.

fit wise I am a 36 32 in jeans/dress pant (6'0 205-215 lbs) and the trace 36 32 fit me perfect. FL guide lite in 36 32 also fit me well but in kuiu i go back in forth between 38 and 36 depending on ice cream intake. I like the 38 fit on kuiu when I'm 210 plus as the crotch gets a little tight on the 36s.
