Grandpa's lost buck

Hello everyone. Not new to rokslide but new to posting... anyway my grandpa shot this buck way back when. we have not seen the head since it was entered into ziniks big buck contest. We know it hung in the store for awhile but not much more detail after. We continue hoping putting it online someone, somewhere will maybe know something. There is a small story with one of the pictures. Thanks for your time.

Kidding aside good luck in your search. Very weird that a woman took credit for the buck just because she was entered in the contest? Lol I’ve been to local big buck contest and it’s amazing that people are still pulling these kinds of shenanigans for money/credit.

It's a long story on why she entered it into that contest lol but long story short when ziniks closed they gave the antlers back to the owners. Oe atleast tried.

My dad years ago talked to the original guy that did Utah's biggest bucks and took the picture of the shoulder mount. Which was after the store was closed...the guy said he remembered taking that picture but didn't remember where he was when he took it. He was an older gentleman back when he told this to my dad so we're guessing he has since passed.

The average number of days a guy would last on their NR 10-day solo DIY OTC backpack mule deer hunt would go up to 4 days from 3 if there were still incentives like that!
