Ground blind set up and access (more newbie questions)

We only open the windows in the direction we will be shooting from. We keep the window open about 4” at all times. The less difference in the blind looks the more comfortable the game will be. Take a chair and sit back and relax. We also use a tripod (bog pod).

I was being sarcastic. Camouflage is quite effective against people, but not very effective against many game animals.

I was wondering about that this year. I didn't wear camo a couple hunts and the deer picked me out really quick. I was also using a saddle for the first time. I think hanging off the side of the tree might be more obvious. I wasn't sure if it was the saddle setup or the lack of camo. You are prone to move more in the saddle which is most like the problem. I'm only good for a few hours in that thing.

Get used to just seeing bits and pieces without trying to see the whe deer.

I hunt whitetails frequently from a ground blind that I made from t-posts, cattle panels and camo netting. It's situated between a tree and a bush, so I just have a single panel wired to 2 t-posts with no sides. I have maybe about 120 degree vision of an area that includes 3 tanks and 2 major game trails all within 200 yards. I can hang everything I need including my pack from the panels or a 1x6 I ran across it. I much prefer it to sitting in a box although my preference is to stalk. It is easy to set up and easy to take down. I moved it from another location on a ridge after I realized I was being skylined (duh).
