Thanks. One is circassian walnut. The other is maple. Used a hand rubbed tru-oil to finish. Lots of coats

Have you tried cutting tru oil with armor all?

No never heard of cutting with aa. I usually cut with mineral spirits for the last few coats.

Dremel, burr grinder, steady hand. I used to checker but that stuff will make you go blind. or give you hairy palms
I checkered one shotgun stock and it still isnt done! Quality checkering takes a lot of patience. Especially when you lack experience.
