Hiking pants

Regular old nylon fabric zip off travel/hiking pant/shorts. Lighter weight that anything else, can often find good deals on ebay for used and way cheaper than the 'hunting' brands. I do most of my hunting in these until late October, depending on conditions. A pair of long underwear beneath and/or rain pants over the top and that will deal with many hunting situations. I used 'em this year from mid 20's weather on exposed alpine ridges to elk hunting in early November at high elevation and have for many years.

I just got some of the Eddie Bauer guide pro pants and they seem pretty nice for the $$. haven't worn them out of the house yet though.
