Idaho Unit 49 Rifle Elk

Trying to find some info on terrain, access, trophy potential, etc for this hunt. I'll be taking my utv/atv with me as well as my Kifaru gear. I'm willing to hike in a couple miles or so. Very little information on this unit!

49 is an atv travel restricted unit make sure to pay attention to the USFS and BLM travel plans. I saw some very nice bulls come out of there last year so it has trophy potential. Do you have the early or late tag?

It's the late tag. I'll be there toward end of season due to other tags to fill. I plan to try and get a good map of the area. Hoping the elk will be heading for lower elevation when I get there. Thank you for the info!
