ILF string alignment

Educate me on string alignment.

How do you check it? What are indicators that it may be miss aligned? I’m doing my last bit of tune before my upcoming season. Wanting to make sure everything is right. I look down the limbs and eyeball my string- everything looks good but is there a measurable way to check?

These are helpful and easy to use.

I use those limb gauges and snap a pic like JK does…..then when perfect I put a dot of paint on the riser.

So when I was really playing with ILF, there wasn't all these great resources to draw from on this, what little I played with string centering, if it wasn't right the string would come to rest outside the grooves at the end of the limbs and was nosier than when it did, you can pull string back slightly and watch to see if string kind of pops to the side. I think the stuff mentioned above is well worth investing in, but till they come in the mail you could try the old timer tricks in the mean time
