My heart may still be black, but I like half and half or cream in my coffee. Yeah, I know. Makes backpacking tough, as I have never had an instant creamer that didnt taste like the bottom of the dumpster in the alley behind a seedy bar. Or at least what imagine that’d taste like.

All you fellow heathens who like cream in your coffee, what’s your go-to for backpacking? Just drink it black for a few days? Powdered milk? Or….????

Thanks in advance.

Love cream in my coffee...drinking it now. My family laughs as I have been on a lifetime search for a backpacking creamer. Have tried a ton of them and have not liked any. They either clump, taste, awful, or are some coconut oil type concoction. Many are sweet.
Currently resigned to the CoffeeMate packets. Chemical death in a tube but best I have found. Only use a few times a year.
I will be watching this thread.....

Seems a little odd men think about other men's creamer...

I use caffeine and electrolyte pills, makes life easy.

I’ll pack a can of sweetened condensed milk with some powdered milk. This has been my favorite so far. I dont use it in the summer. For summer I buy the mini liquid creamers in bulk and pack those.

Sir, I appreciate your assistance but I can accept depravity only so far. I draw the line—in heavy ink—WELL before flavored creamers.

@huntabsarokee drinks some type of instant that you just add water, hot or cold, and it makes a coffee drink with foam on top. Maybe you’d like it. I drink mine hot and black, so I’ve never tried it. Hopefully he’ll chime in

Mini moos - but only if you arent counting ounces etc. But a box of mini moos doesnt weigh a lot.

This is what I drank on our hunt. They have a few flavors. My wife and daughter drink it iced. Would have never tried it but found it for a $1 a bag. At .16 a cup it was delicious although sweet. Would take again.

If there is one that dissolves in hot coffee let us know. The stuff I tried clumped in to dumplings.
Never actually tried it in coffee, usually it's in cold water and mixed with other stuff....nevermind maybe not a good suggestion afterall.

If its anything like powdered milk, corn starch, flour, etc it works well to put powder in cup, add small amount of water and stir with a spoon or fork to get a slurry, and only then add your coffee or whatever liquid you are putting it in. It generally mixes well without the “flavor nuggets” if you do that.

I drink it black 300 days a year. But when we’re camping or hunting, I like to bring these to mix it up:
Vinacafe Instant Coffee Mix 3 in 1 (Pack of 1 | 20 Sachets Per Bag)

Cream, sugar, and coffee all in one lightweight instant package.
