@KHNC let's not hi-jack the inReach thread. Since you publically but partially posted our previous PMs, here is a fresh thread to get them all out there so everyone has the context of that conversation (the one that we moved beyond long ago). I only have a vague memory of that day and don't have the PMS, but seems you might. Post up the thread in question too.
 
I dont have the PM's anymore. Nor would i post the entire issue here. I was simply pointing out your quick reaction to Garmin with hate. This was the same reaction you had to me at the time. Yes, we have both moved on. Ryan took care of my issue and me and you have both had interactions since then, with no issues. I was just stating that sometimes its better to have a little more patience before you overreact to something. Seems like things have worked out for you on the garmin issue by doing just that.

My offer still stands on the time wasting issue.

Hate? I don't hate Garmin. I simply posted the facts exactly as it happened (we try to do that here on Rokslide).

Patience? So 1.5 hours, 3 phone calls, and emails back and forth to S&S( and $500)is not enough patience? In reference to the old issue you brought up, I remember my mods and Ryan agreeing with me. I don't remember it well enough to see how it relates to the inReach CS problem, (that is now getting fixed, but remember, I paid them $500 to answer that phone) I stand by what I wrote to you. I wouldn't have written if you hadn't been wasting our time, I promise.

and you should post the entire issue, not just the PMs you seem to have saved that only show your side.

So do we need to continue this conversation?
 
I told you once already i didnt save the PM's. You gave me that response almost immediately. I simply stated you should have had patience. If you feel that is reason to call me out on it, then fine. I am not going to continue this as i feel i have stated my point already. Now it seems you are trying to waste mine and your time both on it.

Wait a minute, you posted quotes of PMs, and now you're telling me didn't save them? You only want people to hear your side? Not fair.
 
It wasnt a long conversation. I pm'd rokslide on facebook asking why my posts werent working properly on this site.

After a few days, you replied that you had no idea and that i must have brought something on myself. I questioned it and you told me about the "2 million members" and you didnt have time to check it. Then when i asked again for an explanation , you responded with the "banning me permanently if i waste your time". I have a good memory. Nothing unfair about it. Like i said , it was a short conversation.

I don't send responses like that until someones is being unreasonable and really costing us time. All I remember is that you were, and Ryan/mods agreed.

But at least now we're at the point of "he said, he said" which will go nowhere from here. So please, in the future, if you're going to dig up month's old issue that you're angry over, have all the threads, and pms ready to post. Not just the ones that make your case. Otherwise we end up in a deadlock.

Umm, except you didnt send the PM at all. I PM'd rokslide on facebook trying to solve an issue on this site. You were the one who replied several days later. I do wish i had the entire 6 sentence exchange. Possibly if you look back on RS messages on Facebook yall would still have it. Unfortunately i dont, but clearly you want zero blame at all for having no patience and refusing to help someone out.
 
Geez isn't it hunting season and you guys have better things to do? Sad when a forum administrator has to start a post to stir up crap, isn't there enough to deal with without starting stuff.
 
KHNC it looks very bad on you to bring up something from the past to slam Robby. No getting around the fact that you posted part of a conversation from the past with the intent to slam Robby, that's on you.

Robby this doesn't look good on you either. Leadership positions SUCK because you are always in a no-win situation. People get to take shots at you and you have to just take it or you look petty. My advice is to let your reputation speak for yourself. I get your frustration though.

Great advice, and I don’t deny saying what he said. What he’s leaving out is his part of the conversation. If someone solicits a response from me like that, there was good reason. And like I said, Ryan agreed.

We get nasty communications from people frequently that don’t like the way we run our free-for-them site. I tend to fight back.
