The liners in my Kifaru 8-man tipi sag too much to my taste when tied with the original tie-outs. The sagging liners sacrifice too much useable space so I made some tensioners to fix this.

It's not rocket science but I thought I'd post here in case someone else was thinking about this. This is a completely non-invasive modification and no sewing is involved.

I simply used 3mm cord and linelock tensioners. Recipe:
  1. Use a hacksaw to cut grooves in the linelocs (see photo)
  2. Attach linelock to liner's original tie-out loops
  3. Tie the cord with a bowline knot to the stake-out loop on the canopy
  4. Take the cord through the lineloc and you're done
You will need 8 linelocs. You don't even have to cut grooves to the linelocs, you could simply take a piece of string and tie the lineloc into the original liner tieout loop. When you cut your cord to be long enough, you can still loosen the adjustment to the level of the original "sag" if you wanted to. Or tension the liners as tight as you want.
