I have been tossing around the idea of a lightweight rifle build, so I thought; "who better to ask than these talented hunters on rockslide?"
Was thinking of having a rifle in 6.8 western.
One of the ideas is a kimber hunter. However, the magazine box on the hunter (and i think Montana as well) is just a little shorter than the round is.
So question is this: has anyone had any experience opening up that mag box, or even using a different magazine than the stock one? I'm not against a blind box magazine either.
This is just one of the options I'm considering, and right now it's still in the information gathering stage.
