Kimber Mountain Ascent 280 Ackley
$1650 with factory fluted bolt
Or
$1550 with non fluted bolt
Includes aftermarket trigger.
I purchased the rifle second hand last spring. I have another Kimber 280ai, which ever sells first ill keep the other. Don't need two.
Previous owner said he bought it new 3 years ago. Didn't shoot it much. Said his load was with RL17, 55gr shooting one hole right at 2900fps with a 168gr Berger VLD hunting bullet. I've only shot a box of the federal premium with the 168 berger hybrid. I would have liked to try the 162 eldx more, as my other mountain ascents love the eldx... but I couldn't find enough to shoot.
I've owned 4 kimber rifles. All have been sub moa with quality factory ammo. This rifle is no different. I wasn't able to put it through its paces much, but finding a sub half moa load for it should be no problem.
Rifle has been hunted with. Stock finish has a few nicks here and there. A bit discolored from bloody hands.
I dont recall the trigger the previous owner put in it... I want to say a trigger tech?? But I don't recall for sure. However, it is set extremely light... the lightest trigger I own. Makes a big difference shooting a rifle this lightweight.
