Kimber mountain ascent and scope info

I recently just picked up a Kimber mountain ascent optifade subalpine chambered in 280 Ackley improved. I currently have a Leupold vx-3 2.5-8x36 and I would like to put this on. Has anyone ran this setup trying to figure out what Talley's I need. The scope tube is pretty short on these

When I bought my Kimber I called them directly and had an answer in minutes.

A set of low rings should work. Don't think it will matter if they are for the 84M or 84L. That is about the size of a Weaver K4 4x38 I had mounted on an 84L Montana with low rings for the 84M.

The K4 has 5.3 inches of mounting space vs 5.1. Outside diameter of objective bell on K4 is 1.78 inches vs 1.6.

1” medium extended. FYI the 3x9x40 will mount in low rings. The 2.5x8 is shorter.
