I'm looking to put a scope on my 50cal Ultra-light. I will be using the Leupold QR rings (quick release), so the scope can be easily removed when needed. Unfortunately the Vortex scope I was going to use is too long as it hits the iron sight base. Therefore, I'm looking for advice on a scope with a 30mm tube. Thanks

@FishN in that price range the Leupold VX-Freedom Muzzle Loader is MSRP $389.... probably closer to $275 - $300. It’s a solid scope within the budget. I’ve owned one / sold it. Something to keep in mind in that price bracket is you’re likely to find scopes are 2nd focal plane and the subtensions WILL change when increasing or decreasing magnification. This CAN be good on scopes like the Leupold as you can “fine tune” the subtensions for your actual load and don’t need a chrono or any fancy computers.

In the used bracket a VX3i would be within reason. I’m not a fan of the reticle options in Vortex’s line within that price range / purpose.
