Kodiak brown bear

Family member just got back.late spring and Bad weather , the guide outfit they went through had 5 brown bear hunters none successful. Said bears were still higher than the Mtn goats .. tough stuff ..

I heard similar yesterday from a friend that just returned. He did have a stalk on a bear but the wind blew it.

Dang. I was just looking at a couple guys I always watch and have on my list to go with and they were 3/4 and 4/4.

Sorry to hear about the unsuccessful, but for me, I"m glad it's a late spring. I head up for brown bear on the 30th on the peninsula and am hoping to find one with a good hide. Late spring should help on the rubbing.

Ya my uncle had a 2 stalks or so and wind blew his
