Does the guide jacket get less stiff / boxy as you wear and wash it?

I have one going on it's sixth season and it seems pretty soft to me. I wash it after hunts and treat it with Nicwax. No issues with the dwr coating.

I have one of the originals from the first batch and a couple new ones as noted they are fairly soft the original has a few small holes but still going strong and shedding rain and have done nothing but wash it a few times

Mine did get softer but never as soft as the chinook or 90% jackets.

I have been wearing mine for a couple months now and in my opinion it does become a bit more flexible. I’m very happy with it so far. It’s a very durable jacket.
