Today I got a new pair of Mountain Hunter Elites. I have the synergy footbeds and a custom heel pad set up. At first glance these are the nicest boots I've ever seen. The price is steep but it appears worth it. They are serious quality. I'm coming from Lowa Tibets and Lowa Caminos that I rotate. The Lathrop boots are stiffer than the Tibet but the Tibet feels like a ski boot compared to when walking. They walk more like the Camino but are 5 times stiffer. I'm really impressed with these Lathrops and can't wait to get out with them. I'll post an update after some hiking and break in. Size wise I'm exactly how I measure on a Brannock scale which is 10.5. My Tibets and Caminos are 11's but they are both a touch big.
