I have a soft spot in my heart for Old Winchesters. The quality and level of craftsmanship is seldom seen these days outside of customs and semi customs. Anyway, post photos of your Classic vintage rifles, family heirlooms, etc…

Winchester Model 52C with a 16X Redfield 3200. Still punching <1/2” groups at 50 yards with relative ease.

Pre-War .30-06 Govt. as you can see the collectors value was destroyed by someone drilling the rear of the action, but she still works for her intended purposes. Note the stripper clip cut out.

The unique bolt handle on those combined with the set trigger and mannlicher stock make for a good looking rifle. You take that bear up in North west BC or did you travel for it? I live in the area, there's been a boatload of bears in our area this year.

Yeah you bet, it’s a little awkward with my left hand shooting, but I manage lol.

I live in region 6 here, he’s a local bear. Funny story, a couple weeks ago I seen one of the biggest bears Iv ever seen, but I couldn’t get closer then 220 yards. I need about 100 yards to feel confident. Hoping I cross his path again.

Another, built by my long passed grandad. .458 wm on an old mauser 98 in a rosewood stock.

I fired 2 rounds from it back around ‘2000, the steel but plate wasn’t to pleasing. I’ll get a pad on it some day and try again.

That stock is a work of art! What a rifle. Anyway to add spacers to the buttstock?

Thank you :). The stock in the photo is one I built for it to fit my length.
This is the stock that was built for my grandmother. I used it for a few years with a boot on the but, it worked but never was to comfortable.

Wow! Amazing work! You’ve got a talent for sure then.

That was the first stock I did, it came as a rough semi inlet.

This is the second I built, also from a semi inlet. I was (am) still learning, a good friend asked if I’d build him a stock for his past fathers mauser 30-06.

After these two builds, I realized working from a raw blank was far better and less error.

Keep them coming guys. Some of these rolled out the factory before my grandparents were born.

’62 Remington 700. SN 4000. 30-06

I bought it unfired in 1988 from my boss who picked it up from the PX in Greenland while he was stationed there in ‘62. It was my one and only until 3 years ago, and the stock shows many hard days in the woods. It’s wearing a new Leupold scope but the old Tasco lying on the bench has taken more than a few mule deer and one elk.

Replaced the factory “lawsuit” trigger with a Timney. The original trigger fired a round upon closing the bolt twice in its career so that was enough of that. Also has a limbsaver butt pad which is way more fun to shoot than the factory brass butt plate.
