A few places have these at $200 off right now, making them look like a pretty good deal. Looking to upgrade my vortex diamondbacks and have been looking in the $1k range for new. Are these a good as the other big(ger) names at this price point?

10x42 specifically. Most of my glassing is southeastern deer woods but do have a few planned trips out west where distance may be more important.

I tried a set of these last season and I am no optics snob and like Leopold products but I thought they were terrible. Big disappointment. Mavens c3s are actually better at half the price.

I had a set and to my eyes they were very clear, especially in low light conditions. Only sold to move up to some Leica Noctovids. For me, they were worth their price.
