I'm looking for a 4 piece baitcaster 4 rod rated around 2-4kg, (up to 10lb). Using with 10lb line for Australian bass and similar sized species. think smallmouth bass.

There doesn't seem to be anything suitable AT ALL here in Australia. Every travel rod seems to be heavy rated up to 30lb for much bigger species.

Is there any rods over in America that would be suitable?

I bought a cheap 7' 4-8lb baitcast rod.
It's marketed for kokanee fishing.
Daiwa was the manufacturer.
Not the best rod for bass fishing but we pull plugs in the lake for cutts and it's fine.

There isn’t a whole lot- but it seems to be a growing segment. I think shimano may have a new line of travel rods. Diawa made the ardito as well which may have fit the bill.

Quick google:
Shimano convergence Medium action

St. Croix Triumph travel rod. It’s MH rated for 10-20 lb line but I use it small mouth fishing on the river all the time. A little pricey but I love it. Also have 2 Triumph travel spinning rods great to throw in the truck or in the pack
