I’m leaving tomorrow for a 1st rifle elk hunt and I can’t find my tags.

Looking at the CPW website it says you have to email or write and apply for a tag reissue. Season starts Saturday so I don’t have time for that. Can I go to a CPW office in Colorado and get another copy? How does this work? I’m extremely frustrated and feel stupid.

Any advice would help.

Looks like I can get one reprinted from any sales agent, thank the lord. I’ll

You’re screwed. Takes 5 business days to get one…

Just kidding. Go into a cpw office and fill out the lost tag forum. They’ll re-print you one, with a fee.

Yep, it's easiest to just swing into a CPW office to do it rather than a sales agent, but both will work. They see it all the time. I've been victimized by Aspira not shipping the damn things from Texas before the season, legitimate lost tags, and carcass tags being separated.

I called CPW and the young lady was very helpful and told me that may tag was actually returned to sender by the USPS. So I never actually received it. I thought I had remembered opening it but it was only my small game qualifying license.

Thankfully there is a CPW office right on my drive to the trailhead.

I didn't receive mine in the mail so I stopped at a CPW office and filled out an affidavit and they issued a replacement at no cost

What a bummer though it sounds like an easy swap, still just a p.i.t.a. to add another stop to the list on the way to hunt.
