Snagged up a couple pairs for m-65s for 12 bucks a pop to work into my gear for this season. I put on pair on a diet for under wader pants. I cut and hemmed the buttons out of the sides and used then to make the crotch button up. Plan to put zippers in the other pair soon! Fun project for 12 bucks! Hope to try them out soon cat fishing!

I got a pair of the longs, trimmed the excess material off the WAY too baggy pants on the button side, and put full length zippers on the both legs. 13 ounces, 7/8 in length that fits perfect, for ~$25 all in with the zippers and tax :).

If you're going to do this trimming, I suggest not just trimming 2" off the pant width all the way up, use pins to figure out how to make them fit snug where they need to be and looser where they need to be. For me, I took a lot more material off the bottoms than the top, to maintain full range of motion, but also get them snugger around the bottom of the pants to reduced air flow, making them insanely warmer. on windy mountain tops.
