Can you post a pic of the arrow? I've never even heard of 5 fletch before. What's your thoughts on using 5?

Full disclosure, I’m not an engineer so take what I’m about to say as you will
AAE makes a piece called the bitz knob that allows a user to do 4,5,or 6 fletch. The tolerance is phenomenal and I would encourage anyone even someone who does 3 fletch to use it. It takes any play out of the bitz.
5 fletch with smaller vanes, such as the hybrid 23 has almost identical surface area as 3fletch of hybrid 26 or max stealth. The rough math is as follows
Hybrid 23: 2.3 X .38 /2 =0.437 X 5 =2.185
Hybrid 26: 2.8 X .50 /2 =0.7 X 3 = 2.1
By using 5 smaller vanes, I get less wind drift….i was about 4-6 inches less at 60 yards in roughly a 15mph wind and same surface area as 3 fletch for control of fixed and expandable heads. Some would say the increase in leading edges, the front of the vane that hits the wind, will add more drag and control…. When I tested I found I had the same if not better control and no difference in drag out to 80 yds
I know with the recent vane study some people I have talked to have used that as a hard and set rule, and say that it showed the best combination. I took it as there are lots of options to use depending on your situation, species and where you hunt.Overall I think people should at least try it and determine for themselves if it suits them and their situations best.
