Mule Deer Migration

I live in south west Colorado, Im curious if anybody has ever scene a deer near or above timberline in the summer/fall and then picked up the same deer sheds more than 30 miles away in winter range? Simple question just out of curiosity.

I have no doubt that deer travel 30 miles from summer to winter ranges....if that's what you are asking? I haven't but I'm sure other have.

For sure, I’m just curious if anybody has matched up sheds from a deer traveling that far or more.

I am sure people do, I never have. I know of guys doing it with elk on big migrations.

I think that happened with Popeye, but in reverse. Seen on the winter range first and then found in the high country.
