"your getting antsy, go fishing/hunting" Depending on time of the year of course!

Always happy to oblige!

Severe drought in Texas in 2011/12. Driving by one of our ponds that is totally dried up:
Me: Man, all the ponds are drying up...
Wife: Well at least the deer should be huge this year
Me: (Super confused) What would make you think that?
Wife: Well if all the ponds are dried up then the deer would get to eat all the fish and get plenty of protein.....
Me:............HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

She felt so dumb the second it came out of her mouth. I will NEVER forget that conversation.

Just two days ago:
Me: Man I really wish I could go elk hunting this year.
Wife: Well...why dont you just go??

I was blown away that she would just volunteer for me to go elk hunting for a week or more. She always knew how much I loved to hunt but little ones and tons of life changes have kept us really busy and her not super excited for me to take long trips. Kids have finally hit good ages that its not a big deal. New business just wont allow for the time to hunt this year. I sure do love her though for thinking about me.

“You better start buying all that stuff you need for your mountain goat hunt.”

“If you get one, I don’t really like the rugs. You should do a full body mount. They look way better.”

I haven’t told her how much the full body mount is yet.....

Wife: hey we need to get to eating those deer in case you get an elk this year.
Me (thinking): hmm so she has some faith in me
Wife: on second thought, we might need to stretch these suckers out. :p
