How many days do you feel you could be out with this pack? And I assume it would work great for day hunts for blacktails.

How many days do you feel you could be out with this pack? And I assume it would work great for day hunts for blacktails.

I think 4-5 without much trouble. I carried a weekend’s worth of food last time and had plenty of room to spare plus the lid that I didn’t even bring. My tent/bag are pretty bulky so you might do better.

Lots of variables to answer reliably. Time of season and expected weather, size and amount of gear considered to be essential, amount of food and water to be carried in... to name the most obvious ones.

For me, if I was still doing that kind of thing, I would say 7-8 days in early season, 4-5 days late season.

These days, at 64y/o, at the end of day, I enjoy a beer or cocktail while chatting with others before being served a hot meal. Then, a long hot shower and warm cozy bed. Over 40 years of spiking out was enough for me.

Sorry for wandering there....I did state that I was 64 y/o right?
