I found this gem on Craigslist, got it for $200! The gentleman I bought it from measured my draw and pull, 53# @ 26”. Would a 400 spine arrow with a 150gr head be a good start?

Beautiful bow and score. Earl Hoyt knew his stuff. Can't answer the tune question but (and you prob already know this) glossy finishes In the field will cost you shots.

Nice! 400 spine should be right on. Figure out what total weight you want to have up front, then from full length cut down until you have it tuned.

Do you know if it’s cut past center? I would start with a full length 500.
