New guy from NC

Been reading on here a while trying to learn a few thing before my elk hunt in oct. kinda jumped off the deep end on doing a self guided hunt in Idaho for my first elk. Going to try and capture it on video also should be an interesting experience. I do have a buddy going to help pack out. The part I am not looking forward to is that 36 hr drive
