Heck, I just packed out my two spring archery black bears in in my year 2000 Kifaru Longhunter with the guide lid and the external shelf/chair that I bought new and Patrick Smith fit to me That said, I put the meat into the bag and confine it with the built in compression straps and shelf sucked up tight around the bag. That old pack has been carried many, many miles on backpack trips and packed out a bunch of elk, moose, a grizzly and black bears, two sheep, deer, etc and still is comfortable and in decent condition without zippers or seams letting go.

I bought a new duplex frame and Reckoning bag in 2017 just because I wanted one and I needed a loaner pack for relatives/friends that mountain hunt with me on occasion (they get the old pack). The Reckoning is slightly more convenient and comfortable, but I wouldn't feel bad if I had to go on my next backpack hunt with the 20 year old Longhunter. Good luck on your sheep hunt if you get to go!!!!
