New scope for 6.8 western

I found a browning x bolt hells canyon speed in 6.8 western at a local shop and couldn’t resist grabbing it. I know this threads been done a million times but I’d love to hear some suggestions for a scope. I’d like to be able to shoot game to 600 with the ability to go farther on steel/targets. Budget around 1200 or so and the only thing it has to have is reliable dialing.
