I picked up an MDT HNT26 chassis on their Black Friday sale (40% off a factory second!!). I also picked up a stainless T3X 6.5CM to use as the donor (going to chop the barrel down the 20inches).
For the scope, I’m thinking I’ll pick up an NXS 2.5-10 once I find a decent deal on one. Only thing I’m wondering now is which rings to get? It seems the sportsmatch TO84 are popular. Would those work with the chassis shooting position or should I be looking for something else?
This is my first chassis and honestly I haven’t shot guns much prior to this as I’ve focused on bow hunting (currently have a 270 tikka in the original stock with a cheap vortex scope that i just used for hunting, probably shot 60 rounds total). So I’ve just been building this gun based on research with limited real life experience to go by.
