Is there a use for nickel plated casings in regards to reloading? I have seen some complaints about casings splitting in the nickel compared to brass. Worth saving for reloading or not so much?

I have reloaded several for my 300wsm and they worked fine.
They start to flake around the neck a bit. I only reload them once or twice.
They can be hard on your dies as well.

Thanks for the info. I don’t reload at this time but it’s good to know in case someone needs some casings for their reloads.

As much effort as I put into prepping brass, it’s not worth only getting f a couple firings out of. Brass casings just woke better.

I’ve had them get stuck if the chamber is too tight and on the other end I tried them for a reduced recoil load and they wouldn’t expand enough to seal the case off so I was getting soot on the cases and bolt. I don’t use them anymore. Best wishes
