They have had 270 1:9 since 2019 +/- one year. Go to Whittaker's web site, it is model # 18055, shop.whittakers.com/product/81782

Yes, they only started offering the 270 1:9 in 2019. I don't know if every variety of FC models even got the 1:9 but they are out there.

I wish they offered the same in 270wsm ... wouldn't mind the extra oomph for the heavies.

I talked to a shop owner in AK that sold the FC line and he said his Barrett rep told him if the FC does come back they probably won't be available in as many caliber choices. You never know, though? He also said they will be more expensive due to high production costs. I can't wait to shoot mine. I got my scope yesterday, now just waiting on rings.

I talked my father into picking up a Fieldcraft with an 18" threaded barrel in 6.5CM about 6 months before they stopped producing them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking one up myself. Everything about it punches way above its weight class and (since I own a lot of suppressors) it's the perfect lightweight suppressor host to hunt with. I hope they start making them again in the future. As someone who owns several custom rifles costing way more than Fieldcraft, I'd say you get a $3000+ value for the price.

I have an early production .270 with 1:10 but I understand they did make some 1:9 as well. Not sure when each was made. I probably would have preferred 1:9 but mine shoots 129 lrx very well. No complaints.

I have a 18” .308 with NF NXS 2-10 have been happy with it, really want a 18” 22-250 for predator hunting! My .308 shoots well , seems pretty well made, and handles very well. The msrp is in a odd price point, seems most either buy a $800 Gun or go for the $2500 gun....
