I'm part of a group that drew in Northern WY for deer, we went a few years ago and all tagged out on antelope in the NE part of the state.
We got together and spoke about the hunt, but lots of different opinions on things. Hunt starts the 15th of october, looking for any extra insight.
I'm planning on weather from 40-60 degrees, with an extra layer for super cold days, just in case (similar weather to antelope hunt)
We spotted pronghorns literally a mile away, but shots ranged from 150yd -330yd, not sure if muley glassing is similar.
Lastly, I have a 300wm, and a 260 rem, both similar in weight with their scopes. Would it be a good idea to bring the bigger gun for muleys? Both rifles have dropped MI whitetails in their tracks, with proper round selection, but idk how big and tough mule deer are in comparison.
