Seems like a lot of these available, at really low prices for heavy/large packs. There may be a reason for that though. Anyone have experience with these?

I have used one on my Barney’s frame for sheep and goats in AK for 4 years. It’s not high quality, but they were $44, so that was expected. Zero problems so far. Here’s a pic full of meat/hide, 10 day camp, 80mm spotter.

I think I’ve found a better option for my frame, it has loops and can be slid out like an internal pack, not as large but I like it a lot. $169

I was looking at these before i bought my mystery ranch and the weight alone shy'd me away. Other than that I am a big fan of alps.

I have one that I use sparingly. I have replaced some of the connectors with upgraded components from the hardware store. I have loaded it down with everything from tree stands with sticks to elk quarters and it will take the weight. Just not comfortable enough for me to do anything else but that. I could not use this for long periods of time.
