Overlanding (?)

maybe i've been living under a rock.

but recently; i have been watching overland videos ( i had a long bed-bound cold). awesome compact trailers, gear galore, and exotic destinations all within driving distance of a truck.

as a kid, i always wanted to road trip to Alaska. never knew it would be called overlanding.

some of the gear would really make deer camp downright luxurious.

Dawson City, Yukon Territory, Canada draws quite a lot of exotic "overland" rigs.....most of which are $$$$$$.
The Alcan is not a challenge but Robert Campbell Highway, North Canol and the Dempster Highway provide a great playground for those folks. The Taylor Highway into Alaska is their preferred route.

The Aussies have some awesome rigs and their offroad magazines are a great source of information.

I thought it was just called road tripping...but everything is cooler nowdays.
