Piebald Mule Deer

I seen two today, about a mile apart, while out scouting. I figured seeing that first one was rare but after seeing the second one, it makes me wonder, how rare are these deer?

We saw a doe last week in Colorado. First one I’ve seen.

That’s cool! I’ve never seen one and have only seen photos of a couple. I have seen a couple white (actually more dingy yellowish-white) elk. There have been quite a few melanistic mule deer photographed in eastern Oregon, but I’ve yet to see one in person. Never know what you’re going to come across out there, which always adds to the excitement for me.

For a moment, the first one I had seen I thought was a goat hanging with the deer. Definitely was cool to see.
