Preferred 7mm bullets for elk

The 162 eldx works great on elk for me out of my tikka 7mm. Also shoots well out to 600-700 yards. Haven't done much shooting past that though.

After trial by error born out of what has been available, the Federal Fusion in 150 gr and Nosler Partition fly the best out of my rifle with Federal getting the accuracy nod. No I don't shoot out to 1000 yards. So right now Federal Fusions

If you have a twist rate to support it the 7mm 180g ELDM is supposed to be an insanely deadly bullet.

If you don't have the twist to support 180s, 168 Bergers would be hard to beat.

Not first hand experience just from my obsessive research.

I'm actually in the process of putting together a rifle just to shoot those 180 ELDM.

All my AR15s love the Fusion ammo in .223 my daughter killed her first deer with one of them….100yds & didnt go twenty. Bet that 150gr in .284 will Hammer
