The PSE Evoke 80# is finally dialed in. Not much time lately but this combo is finding the middle rather easy. 20 yards and 60 for the sight tape, then checking at 100 yards was money.

The Invasion amongst others have been dethroned. This will probably be the most overlooked bow for 2019. Took me by surprise but I’m really enjoying this setup.

Had a quick look at one in the shop the other day, seems like a nice bow, very stable. Looks to be true by those groups.

Here’s the specs on the Easton D6 FMJ 330’s with 175 gr of weight up front.

From a 456 gr arrow to a 501 gr arrow you get a jump of 4-5 fps when doing the math. Just shows you how efficient the Evolve cams are, not to mention the ease of draw to performance.

Loving mine so far. Looking forward to seeing how it tunes up with the BuckSlayer strings and cables when I get them in.

Tech tip for what it’s worth
I get asked quite a bit how to fix a vertical tear, being it low or high if cams are hitting dead nuts the same. Whether it’s spine, grip stance etc, you may encounter this at some point during your tuning process in the years to come. With PSE’s Evolve cams, don’t overlook the use of the let-off bar for these situations. Throwing the cams out of synch slightly and sliding one of the let-off bars to accommodate both stops hitting at the same time with a system that has equal loads on the cables can do wonders in these situations. I’m not seeing any downfalls with down range groups.

Don’t overlook the let-off bar when fine tuning if need be.

I'm surprised that you have such little horizontal spread at that distance, I would've put that setup a little on the weak side. Could be another added benefit of that Evolve system?

Yeah I'm surprised by that too. I would have thought more than a little weak. 340 FMJs with 125gr up front show weak on my 28" draw 70lb Creed.

Im thinking it's a little of the bow, and a little of OT7 being a Jedi with a bow in hand!

Although the Evolve cams are really forgiving to spine the length of the insert doesn’t hurt either and at 26.5” raw shaft it reacts more like 24.5” raw shaft. Combination of a few things pave the way for a great tune still

I've been overseas for the winter, but this bow is at the top of my list to shoot when I get back to Montana next month. looking for something a little less "radical" than my carbon spyder turbo.

Make sure to give us some feedback after the season. I’ve had two $300-400 range finders crap out on me in the last few years and the thought if that happening on a sight like that makes me very Leary.

Shane how did this tune? I'm a little leery of moving toward a floating yoke system, slowly selling off my binary's to get out of the shim game but unfortunately this leaves us little options outside of hoyt and bowtech

What exactly can you do with the PSE without a press besides change let off? I keep hearing that you can do lots of adjustments but can't find any info.

I’m not Shane but this was seriously the easiest to tune bow I have set up and owned. I’m pretty familiar now with the ECS cams so I had an idea where to start. Perfect fletched bullet hole first shot, then perfect bareshaft bullet hole second shot. Then moved back to 20yds didn’t touch anything and bareshafts hitting with fletched. Extremely impressed.

Don’t be concerned with floating yokes, the draw to performance, as Shane states, is the best out their IMO. The evokes are tuning great for me within their parameters without shimming. 1/4” axels and limb configuration has been right on from factory. Plus you can play with the cable slide to fix small tears...It rotates. And you have the sliding letoff bar. Oh and not to mention on the ECS cams you can get 3 different mods to suit your tastes... you want to add 10fps and have less letoff, try the Fast Low letoff mod. Or more target feel, try the low letoff mod.

You can adjust the draw length, letoff and play with the cable slide without a press.
Also, the quick detach sling is a cool feature and the bow can be shot with it on. I have to test it out some more I may end up using it to hide around the mountains with
