quart ziploc question

im using the freezer bags inside a washed out mountain house bag. i just remember someone saying they had found some flat bottom one that seemed to work better.
Yeah, might've been me.
I've been using the Foodsaver veggie steam bags that Fred Meyer carries. They're flat bottomed, zipper lock, vac seal and are tougher than regular freezer bag. But they do have that steam vent, not that it's an issue or anything.

I also use another vac seal bag w/ a zipper from Vacmaster (50qt bags to a box) but they don't have a pleated flat bottom. But since I use a stand-up DIY reflectix cozy, they seem to work just fine inside it. Sorry but I have no idea where I bought the Vacmaster bags, probably Costco or Bi-mart though.

I will say this...w/ true vac bags, I have less issues with holes associated w/ pokey dried contents like stew meat & potato chunks.
