Recommendation for outer layer

I’m looking for recommendations for a good outer layer that’s the most versatile. I’m hunting mostly in MO, from September until December.

I’m looking for something comfortable,
- water repellent
- good for colder temp (30f)
- something that’s not super heavy and bulky that can be put away easily if it gets too warm
- maybe something that can save me a couple layers ?

Any recommendations or experiences ?
