Reconfiguring wall tent poles

I’ve got a 12x14 foot wall tent with galvanized conduit internal frame that has four rafters. The ridge and eves poles are two pieces @ 10-ft and 3-ft+10-inches long held together with a pot metal coupling. The fancy angle couplings for the rafters slide over these poles.

The 10-ft ridge poles don’t fit in the back of my truck.

Can you guys think of a reason why I shouldn’t rebuild the ridge and eve poles (6) all the same length and have the coupling in the middle so all the poles can fit in the truck?

Thanks guys - I'm pretty sure the factory decision to deliver 1x10-ft pole and 1x 4-footer was based on not having to cut the 10-footer.

Yeah thats pretty lame, definitely should make them equal lengths. I have my ridge/eaves for my 12x14 divided into 3x 4' 8" sections.
2x 7 footers would be good too
